Autumn Wardrobe Audit

It is a well known fact that planning is the key to success!!  We have helped many clients with their wardrobes over the years and can safely say that  planning ahead always works better than the “panic buy”.  We know it is hard to take time out of your busy schedule to devote to wardrobe planning, but it will definitely help save you time and stress in the future!

Do you know you can have a different outfit for every day of the month from a capsule wardrobe with 12 key items – 4 bottom half and 8 top half pieces?  It’s all about choosing those key pieces wisely.

So lets get you started – get in your wardrobe and take out all the garments that are old, don’t fit, or have never been worn because they were bought in a sale five years ago and they just really don’t suit you. From there have a look at what you are left with and think about keeping your look current and true to you.  So this is where you want to inject a few key items that are “on trend” that suit you - we call it giving a nod to the trends rather than being a slave to fashion. CT AUTUMN TRENDS

Here’s What’s Hot for Autumn:

  • Graphic prints – used cleverly can elongate and slim.
  • Colour – Blues in all tones. Accents of Magenta/Citrine/Orange mixed with Khaki/ Grey and Black.
  • Layering – Tunics/ Tee’s to layer under and over.
  • This seasons “must have” key piece is a long waistcoat/gilet in either a tailored or relaxed style.

We hope this inspires you to make a start to looking & feeling fabulous this Autumn.

If however you would like more help with any of the above just get in touch.

Be Trend Aware this Autumn 2013

As you know, we are all about giving a nod to the trends to keep your look fresh and updated, rather than slavishly following fashion and falling victim to the mutton dressed as lamb look!  So here is a whistlestop tour of what’s hot this season. Just adding a touch of any of these to your existing wardrobe will revitalise your style this season.

Animal Print – it’s everywhere – try shoes, scarves or belts.

In the Pink – choose your most flattering shade and inject a little of this season’s colour. To find out YOUR best pink – come along to our Preview Evening on 13th September.

Paint the Town Red - the other must wear colour – again it’s all about getting the tones right for you.

To find out YOUR best red – come along to our Preview Evening on 13th September.

Winter Florals - florals were huge this summer, but for winter they are now with navy or black backgrounds.

Luxe Fabrics – leather, lace, chiffon and velvets – work those textures.

Do the splits – whether it’s splits in skirts or sleeves, these added details will bring your look up to date.

Masculine Tailoring – trousers suits and waistcoats with a girlie twist.

Give a Nod to the Trends this Spring

A common concern from our clients, is that they don’t want to look like mutton dressed as lamb, but neither do they want to look frumpy.  The high fashion looks on the catwalk can seem a million light years away from your lifestyle, however an Integro Fashion Forecast will show you which of the key trends are really wearable for you and how easy it is to keep your look updated and stylish for 2012.

Clothes Swap Update

Well…what a night, we swapped til we dropped

A massive thank you to all(over 100!) of you who supported our Clothes Swap Event on 28th September.

A great time was had by all – watching our Charity to Catwalk Fashion Show, beautifully modelled by the fabulous Chas volunteers and eagerly swapping .  As the saying goes “One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure!”

The fantastic news from CHAS is that we raised a whopping £1059.62 to date.

So,  thanks to all of you for making that happen.

Congratulations also to our “Hostess with the Mostest” who won 2 hours of our time, as she had the highest sales at one of our Accessories Parties from June til September.

There was a real buzz about the night and we have had lots of good feedback already, but we would love to know your thoughts.

Summer Trends 2011

Here is a snapshot of a few of this Summers Key Trends and how to make them work for you.

COLOUR BLOCKING

  • Keep colours not in your palette, away from your face – try coloured trousers or skirts.
  • If you are not brave enough to wear head to toe colour, add pops of colour with accessories – bold bags, necklaces and scarves will ensure you look on trend.
  • To keep your look chic – select your best neutral and team it with one colourful piece.

WHITE a summer staple – A Friend or Foe?

  • A fab, fresh look for spring. But remember, pure white close to the face is not flattering for all – it can leave you looking washed out.
  • Remember, light colours will draw attention and widen, so be careful on which parts of your body you wear them to create balance.

THE NEW NAUTICAL- This is a classic look that comes around each spring.

  • This year bring it up to date by introducing new colours into the mix such as corals, turquoises and all shades of green.
  • Also, try mixing spots and stripes.
  • Just make sure, you think about where you wear your horizontal stripes. Here is a snapshot of a few of this Summers Key Trends and how to make them work for you.COLOUR BLOCKING
