The Mac is Back!
It has never really gone if truth be told, but is big fashion news each Spring. April showers are definitely in abundance at the moment, so here is our guide to making the right choice for you when choosing this key investment piece that will never date.
The classic nude double breasted, belted mac is not for everyone. So you need to choose wisely.
If you are small busted with waist defintion and bigger hips the classic mac will work well for you as it draws attention to your waist and shows off your shape.
However, if you are petite in height steer clear of double breasted as it will shorten you. Choose one line of buttons to elongate.
If however you have a larger bust, with a small, neat bottom and slim legs, you want to avoid double breasted and belted styles. You should choose a swing mac that stops around the thigh area as this will show off your great legs

When you look in the mirror nowadays, do you struggle to recognise the stranger staring back at you?

Three of the most common wardrobe woes that ladies bring to us are:
Dilemma – My wardrobe is dated and I feel boring.
Solution – We find many ladies lose confidence as they get older and so shy away from colour and stick to a neutral, so called “safe” palette of beiges, greys and blacks. Although some may argue this looks classic, it also looks boring and can be ageing. Black is not everyone’s friend and especially as skin and hair lighten, it can look harsh and draining. Although many people choose black as “it has a slimming effect and goes with everything”, many other colours can have the same effect and are much more youthful and interesting. Adding colour, in tones that flatter you, is a fantastic cheap and easy way to update your look.
Dilemma – I am scared of making a fashion faux pas and looking like mutton dressed as lamb.
Solution – As the saying goes “Style Stays as Fashion Fades” – the key is to understand your bodyshape and then you can be a Style Goddess whatever your age. Most women focus on their negatives, but by understanding your own good points and using clothes and accessories to show them off, you can be selective as to which fashion trends will work for you.
Dilemma – My bodyshape has changed and I feel like nothing suits me.
Solution – Life is too short to cling on to a wardrobe you are going to slim into one day. Stop punishing yourself and learn to love who you are and live for today. By clever use of optical illusions you can look taller, slimmer, wider, shorter – use horizontal lines to widen and verticals to lengthen.
